Trip to the amazon basin - Bolivia

Our trip takes you to the amazon basin in Bolivia, to the province of Beni, where you will spend an unforgetable week in pure nature along with lots of adventure. You will take the airplane from Santa Cruz to Trinidad and from there to Los Lagos. In Los Lagos you will find a beautiful hotel, situated in a real nature paradise, where you during your stay will be able to experience a number of wonderful excursions in pure nature, rainforest, over lakes and to the most beautiful beaches. The nights you will spend at the most romantic places – in a comfortable lodge right on the shores of a lake or in a simple jungle lodge or on a romantic spot on the beach. You will be truly enjoying your honeymoon here, in Los Lagos before the flight takes you back to either Santa Cruz or La Paz.

Day 1: Flight from Santa Cruz to Trinidad and from there to Los Lagos. Arrive in Los Lagos. Overnight in a comfortable romantic lodge on the lake, located about 300m from the hotel. The lodge is a beautiful spot, where you will be able to fully enjoy and relax and have spectacular views on the lake and surroundings. Dinner incl.

Day 2: After breakfast you will be taking on a boatstour on Lake Largo Lago, located right on the hotel. The watertemperature of 26 degree celsius allows to go swimming. After a short boatride you will reach the delta, where the river Arroyo Negro flows into the lake Lago Largo. This is a perfect spot to go snorkeling. You will feel like swimming in a tropical aquarius – a wonderful experience. With a little luck, you can also observe sea otter. We will then take you to a primary rainforest, where you will be able to see coatis, monkeys and extraordinary birds. But not only the fauna, also the vegetation with fungi and flowers are worth a visit. Here you will also find ruines of the Rio-Beni culture, also called the Earthmovers, that lived here. Lunch. Freetime to relax in the hammocks and swim. Return to Los Lagos. Dinner. Overnight in a comfortable romantic lodge on the lake.

Tag 3: After breakfast visit to the hotels own ecological farm “San Antonio”, situated about 5 km from the hotel. Here you will get to know the real „Beni – Farmlife“, watching the farmers by their everyday work. If you like to, you can also help them out. There is also the possibility to go on a horseride. Afterwards visit to the brickworks. Under the huge Mango trees on the farm you will be served lunch. From there you can choose to stay at the farm for the entire day or procced to the near located forest and swamps, an ideal location for watching birds. After dinner the guide wll take you on a night-tour to observe caimans, large sting rays and other fishes. Return to Los Lagos. Overnight in a comfortable romantic lodge on the lake.

Tag 4: Breakfast. Freetime to relax, to go snorkel, swimming, fishing, diving or horseriding. Lunch. Candle-Light-Dinner on the lake. Overnight in a comfortable romantic lodge on the lake.

Tag 5: Breakfast. On this day we will take you on our greatest tour. At first you will visit the Laguna Dichosa, from where you will take a boat to the beach Porvenir. The red sand, the many palm trees and little scrubs provide a perfect setting to relax or take pictures. On the beach you can relax in the hammocks and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Lunch. After lunch boatride to the beach on the opposite site. This wild beach is adnated completely with forest and srubs. Visit to the 23m high observation tower where you will be able to observe various birds and enjoy wonderful views. Then we will take you to a real birdwatchers paradise, a canal dominated by peckers, macaws, dugs, kingfisher, etc. While returning you have the opportunity to fish piranhas with silk and meat. The guide will demonstrate you how to fish piranhas. Return to Los Lagos. Dinner inclusive. Overnight in a comfortable romantic lodge on the lake.

Tag 6: Breakfast. Freetime to relax, to go snorkel, swimming, fishing, diving or horseriding. Lunch. At night boatride on the lake. Dinner incl. Overnight in a comfortable romantic lodge on the lake.

Tag 7: Breakfast. Tour to the archeological site of the Rio-Beni culture, also called earthmovers. Here in Las Lagos you will find ruines of this culture and visit local communities, where you will be able to observe their simple way of life and see for example, how they dig out yucca, walking through a typical banana plantation and get to the culture more closely. Lunch inclusive. You will then have the possibility to go fishing, swimming or horseriding. Dinner. Overnight in a comfortable romantic lodge on the lake.

Tag 8 : Breakfast. Flight to Trinidad and from there to La Paz or Santa Cruz. End of program in Santa Cruz or La Paz.
