The Spanish school is located in the centre of Sucre, right at the city park, Park Bolivar. Besides learning Spanish, the school focuses on integrating each student into the Bolivian culture both inside as outside the classroom.
Spanish, English, French, Italian and German is spoken.
All teachers are highly qualified and the school is well-equipped and has its own cafeteria, free Internet access and money exchange.

Courses and programmes

Usually, courses are 6 hours daily five days a week, adding up to 30 hours weekly. The daily course programme consists of 2 hours of grammar and 2 hours of practice in class in the morning and an additional 2 hours in the afternoon for discussions, debates about different topics, or to practice reading, etc.

Extras and activities

Besides its modern and friendly atmosphere and good Spanish learning programme, the school offers valuable after-class activities. There are cooking and salsa dance classes that you are welcome to attend. The school also offers city excursions and excursions around Sucre, which can include, for example, a visit to the market or a mountain bike tour in the beautiful surroundings. The school also takes you on a Pub Crawl on weekends to get to know Sucre’s nightlife. Students are also welcome to attend organized tours throughout Bolivia and are even given the possibility to connect their Spanish classes while travelling, which is part of the “Learn and Travel” programme. Another great opportunity to get to know Bolivia is to volunteer. The school offers a free service for finding you the right volunteer job.

General Information

SpeakEasy Institute is the best-known language institute in La Paz and is located right on the edge of this busy city centre. Students from all around the world studying Spanish and Bolivian students studying English make this a truly multi-cultural environment. All teachers are qualified, trained in-house and experienced.

Courses

SpeakEasy Institute offers courses from 15 hours for Survival Spanish through to a 30-week programme from Starter level through to Advanced. There are specialist courses for students living and working in a Spanish-speaking environment where those students with an Intermediate level can work on technical Spanish for medicine, rural development, law, economics, etc. Classes are usually for 4 hours each morning and home stays and volunteer work can be arranged.
