TOP
Who likes to do rock climbing, one will find good spots in the south of La Paz and near Oruro. The routes rating is in the french scale and the climbing areas are located at an altitude of about 3.300 meter in La Paz and about 3.800 meter in Oruro. Because of the high altitude climbing will be much more exhausting than regularly.
La Paz
The routes are located in three different areas. They are called "las alas", "la galleta" and "el peñon" south La Paz. Most of the routes are challenging and general the routes begin at the level 6a or 6b, which is equal to 5.10a or 5.10b. Sadly there are just a few routes in the easier levels, which makes it for beginners hard to climb in these areas.
All routes are good secured and also the native climber will give you some advice.
It is possible to climb the whole year, but the best conditions will be in the dry season.
