Within the park is no public transport system. The best way to visit the park is in an organized tour including the Uyuni salt flats from Uyuni, Potosi, Tupiza or La Paz. You will only find basic accommodation in the park. Tours usually take 3-5 days. For the tour it is recommended to take a sleeping back, sun glasses and sun screen with you. The nights are cold and the sun at this altitude is very intensive. The best time to visit the park is during the dry season, from April to October. To see an example of a tour click here.
